The Asian Festival

Every year around late spring the city of Columbus holds its annual Asian Festival for one weekend. Most years I am unable to attend, however this year I got lucky. The event was held on Memorial Day weekend at Franklin Park. The Asian Festival helps raise awareness of Columbus' growing Asian population and showcases a variety of Asian foods, music, martial arts, and traditional dances. These are some of the images I captured while attending.

FREEDOM AND THE FUTURE

Change like many other things in life, can be a bittersweet ordeal. We as humans find comfort and peace in routine and familiarity, so sometimes, even when we have been expecting it, change can throw us into a frenzy of mixed feelings. Leaving Ohio University has been one such change for me. Confronted with the freedom and possibilities of real life opportunities, ambition adds fuel to the fire of excitement. However, leaving Athens with the knowledge I will never again call it my home or write 45701 in my address line, along with knowing I might never again see some of the wonderful people I've met while there is just as overwhelming. I guess these photographs in some way or other reflect my own emotions towards new opportunities, change, and apprehension.
